Losing Connection

I stopped trying to reconnect with people that I no longer have a connection with.   I have realized that I do not have try and force a connection with someone when the relationship has run its course.  I don’t need to feel guilty or think I’m a bad person when I don’t reconnect with an old friend or estranged family member.  Not everyone we feel something deep with is meant to remain with us forever.  Sometimes people come into our lives to teach us a lesson.    To teach us how to love or maybe how not to love.    How to honour our boundaries or to create our boundaries.    Everyone comes into our lives for a season, a reason or a lifetime but not everyone is meant to stay forever.  So don’t try and force a reconnection.  Take the meaning of that relationship or the lessons it has taught you because that’s what really matters.   You aren’t for everyone and everyone isn’t for you.     When you meet some...

Sometimes fate draws us to something or someone that we need as part of our journey through this lifetime to take us to a higher existence. Sometimes we are lucky enough to understand these chance meetings or long term relationships. Sometimes we don't understand their significance until much later. Sometimes we never know. Sometimes it's a teacher. A Coach. A  like minded person that shares something of interest. Sometimes it's a  non human companion. Sometimes it's the other half of a bad relationship. A bully. A co-worker that never stops complaining. A circumstance you find yourself in that you need to make a choice. A choice to be a priority and not an option.    It's a knowledge, that you have this one life and that you better live it while you have it. It's a fire that burns from within us. Welcome to my new blog. As a new year rolls into view, I decided I wanted to start documenting my musings on life’s journey.  Chronicling the big and small adventures as we can’t wait for life not to be hard to be happy.   This blog will be a smattering of things relevant in my life as the clock rolls forward never looking back; always ticking towards the next moment we can claim as our own.   _______________________________________ Time.   What I call the universal equalizer.   We all have the same number of hours, minutes and seconds in every day, week, month and year.  I t doesn’t matter how rich, poor, successful, beautiful or smart you are.   It doesn’t matter what   colour y our skin is, what country you came from or what gender you identify as.   No one gets more or less time than someone else in a day.   Period.   We cannot make more of it.   We cannot get it back once it’s gone.   We cannot save it for later. ...
